TG Angola Airlines is strengthening its Africa-Europe belly capacity capability with the resumption of its Luanda-Lisbon route.
The LAD-LIS route is served by two flights a day using two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
This service was previously carried out using an aircraft from the HiFly airline on a wet lease basis, due to the maintenance of TG's international fleet.
TG told Air Cargo News: 'So far this year we have moved 85,000kgs (of cargo) LAD-LIS.'
'We would like to thank HiFly for their collaboration during the term of this agreement, which has ensured the reinforcement of our operation and the smooth running of a priority route for TG,' said TG chief executive Nelson de Oliveira.
TG currently operates to 18 destinations in Angola and 16 international destinations in South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
According to the airline's website, its passenger fleet includes Boeing 737-700, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, as well as De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.
TG also has a leased 737-800BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter), delivered in December 2023.
The B737-800BCF is capable of transporting up to 23.9 tonnes of cargo.
Network Airline Management (NAM) currently also has an agreement with TG to provide a weekly 747F scheduled service from Liege, Belgium, to Luanda.
NAM provides a 747-400F aircraft with nose door capability which carries up to 120,000 kilos of cargo on its core flight schedule.
