IN response to the aftermath of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore, officials have established a temporary shipping route as part of recovery efforts, reports London's Port Technology.
This decision comes a week after the bridge was brought down by a collision involving the Maersk-chartered 9,962-TEU Dali.
Following this incident, the Port of Baltimore temporarily suspended all incoming and outgoing ship traffic.
'The temporary channel, to the northeast side of the collapsed bridge, would help get more vessels in the water around the site of the collapse,' said Maryland governor Wes Moore.
