THE 1,043-TEU Marshall Islands-flagged TS Moji was caught in typhoon while en route from Shanghai to Yokohama and suffered damage to containers on her portside's weather deck, reported Kiev's Maritime Bulletin, which specialises in marine casualties.
Taiwan's TS Lines manages the ship, which turned back in the storm and sought shelter at an anchorage north of Shanghai. Salvage was contracted, to handle and remove damaged containers, said the report.
After completing emergency works, the ship was allowed to move to Shanghai outer anchorage, where she was anchored until September 27 when she moved to Shanghai port and Yangtze Estuary CJK Anchorage.
