SANMAR delivers another tug to P&O Maritime LogisticsBased on the Sanmar-specific RAstar 2900SX design by Robert Allan Ltd. and built by SANMAR, Bigaçay XIV has been named P&O GAYNDE by its new owners.With a length of 29.4 metres, a beam of 13.3 metres and a depth of 5.75 metres, P&O GYANDE has a bollard pull of 80 tonnes and a speed of 12 knots. Equipped with a crew capacity of eight and a FiFi1 fire-fighting capability, Sanmar’s Bigaçay Series tugs are designed for offshore escort operations.The collaboration between Sanmar and P&O has been ongoing since 2013 and the delivery of this tug brings the number of Sanmar-built tugs in P&O’s fleet to eight.Ali Gürün: "Our customers continue to trust us with new orders"“The fact that our customers continue to trust us with new orders is the best indication that we are doing the right thing.
