OOCL cancels seven transpacific sailings in May and June

HONG Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) is withdrawing seven sailings on four transpacific services in May and June, the Pacific China South 1 (PCS1), East Coast China 2 (ECC2), Gulf Coast China 1 (GCC1) and India East Coast Express (IEX)

HONG Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) is withdrawing seven sailings on four transpacific services in May and June, the Pacific China South 1 (PCS1), East Coast China 2 (ECC2), Gulf Coast China 1 (GCC1) and India East Coast Express (IEX).

The shipping liner said the decision to cancel the sailings was prompted by expected low market demand.



The two void sailings on the Pacific China South 1 (PCS1) service are scheduled to depart from Fuqing on June 9 and June 16.



The port rotation of the PCS1 is: Fuqing, Nansha, Yantian, Xiamen, Los Angeles, returning to Fuqing.



On the East Coast China 2 (ECC2) service, the two sailings scheduled to depart from Qingdao on June 2 and June 24 have been cancelled.



The port rotation for the (ECC2): Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Colon, Savannah, Charleston, Boston, New York, Colon, returning to Qingdao.



On the Gulf Coast China 1 (GCC1) service, the sailing scheduled to depart from Hong Kong on May 22 has been cancelled.



The port rotation for the (GCC1): Hong Kong, Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Houston, Mobile, New Orleans, Tampa, Miami, Singapore, returning to Hong Kong.



On the India East Coast Express (IEX) service, the two sailings scheduled to depart from Karachi on May 7 and May 21 have been cancelled.



The port rotation for the (IEX): Karachi, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Damietta, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, Jeddah, returning to Karachi.
