INDIA's ntc group, headquartered in Chennai, has opened an office at Port Klang in Malaysia, to enhance its logistics services in the Asia Pacific regions, the Americas and Europe.
In a statement, the company said the new office will be 'a shot in the arm in terms of delivering timely and cost-effective logistics service to the neighbouring geographies and its hinterland'.
The company, established in 1997, has specialised in logistics and is also involved in , construction and infrastructure, organic food, and clean energy businesses.
NTC currently has overseas offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, along with partnerships in Europe, America and Australia.
Speaking at the company's inaugural ceremony earlier this month, CMD Dr K Chandramohan, commented that the opening of the new office was a step towards fulfilling the vision of the NTC logistics in its aspiration to become an entity of global reckoning.
He addedL: 'The need of the economies of today is to leverage technology, and create channels through which business demands can be catered to in a seamless, cost effective and timely manner.
'To this effect the logistics service plays a pivotal role of networking backbone which enables supply chain in an environment which is sustainable, here we intend to poise ourselves globally.
'Our next step will be to expand our footprints into the Middle East and the African Geographies. We'll open more strategic offices across the globe in the times to come. I take this opportunity to congratulate my team and the management. I hope we'll meet great success along the way, in this journey of NTC.'
