THE Civil Aviation Administration of China (CC) has announced that Northwest International Cargo Airlines has received preliminary approval from the body's regional administration.
Stakeholders include Shaanxi Transport Construction Investment Co Ltd with 50 per cent, Hangzhou YTO Express Airlines with 20 per cent, West Airport with 10 per cent and Shaanxi Province Airport Aviation Industry Investment Co Ltd with 20 per cent.
The company has registered capital of CNY1 billion (US$146.7 million) and will be based at Xian Xianyang International Airport.
Its scope of business will entail domestic and international cargo air transport using Boeing 737 aircraft. The company has recruited 15 captains and three pilots.
