HONG KONG's Cargosmart, a global shipment management software company, is offering three new systems for shippers and logistics providers to improve shipment planning.
They include private label sailing schedules, a new daily report to monitor schedule changes, and an expanded schedules mobile app that allows unrestricted schedule searches.
The company will be showcasing the shipment planning solutions at the TPM Asia Conference in Shenzhen on October 15-16.
The software allows customers to improve import and export management with up-to-date vessel schedule information and historical schedule reliability insight, a company statement said.
"We are pleased to offer new solutions for shippers and logistics service providers to make better shipment planning decisions for time-critical shipments," said the head of product design and marketing Angela Tsang.
"CargoSmart is connecting intelligence about vessel operations with shipment details to provide tools that help shippers optimise their time and resources."
Using automated software, the company analyses global ship operations as well as ocean carriers' published schedules to improve the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the sailing schedule data that is at the foundation of shipment planning.
It monitors factors that can impact vessel schedules such as route deviations, port operations, weather and vessel speeds to verify schedules with carriers and deliver high-quality sailing schedule data.
