MARSA will operate the container terminal at the deep-water port, nador West Med for 25 years, reported Dubai's Shipping Herald.
Marsa Maroc will have to invest MAD200 million (US$20 million)in the terminal which will have a capacity of 3.5 million containers, L'Observateur du Maroc et de l'Afrique reported.
The terminal has a depth of 18 metres and 70 hectares of embankments and will be equipped with 15 latest-generation quay gantry cranes (STS) and 45 latest-generation park gantry cranes (RTG) at full capacity.
