GENEVA's Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) has extended its slot charter
with Maersk Line and Hamburg Sud on their 10-ship Oceania loop.
The loop links ports in Australia and New Zealand with Maersk and Hamburg Sud hubs in Panama and Columbia and calls at Savannah and Philadelphia on the US east coast.
MSC is marketing this service as the Oceania Express Loop 2. In addition, Hapag-Lloyd and Hamburg Sud's subsidiary Alianca also take slots on this service.
An American Shipper report said MSC lists a northbound hub call at Cristobal and southbound at Balboa, but not the loop's northbound and southbound calls at Cartagena.
