“Marmara Sea 2010” Symposium will be carried out in 25th and 26th of September 2010 in, “Yunus Emre Culture Centre, Bakirkoy-Istanbul” by TURKISH MARINE RESEARCH FOUNDATION (TUDAV). The main purpose of this symposium is to widely investigate the Marmara Sea which is the only inland sea of our country, as well as its coast. Moreover, “Marmara Sea 2010” symposium targets to exchange information on our priority problems in this region. The same symposium was conducted by our foundation in 2000 and has captured lots of attention from the academic groups.

In the symposium, articles in relation to the Marmara Sea will be presented and the topics are listed below;
Marine Geology and Geo-physic, Earthquake research Chemical and Physical Oceanography Coast Usage and Management Bio diversity in Marmara Sea and Protected Areas issue Fisheries in Marmara Sea Marmara Sea and Tourism Marine Pollution and Precautions Oil spill , Management Plans Marine Transportation and Turkish Straits Air Pollution Climate Change , adaptations and impactsDuring the symposium, a panel will be organized on the subject of „„armara Sea Action Plan‟‟and the participants of this panel will be the experts on their subjects. Participants who are willing to take active part in this panel, they should send their speech summery to the symposium secretariat. Moreover, „„armara Sea 2010‟‟symposium articles should be sent to symposium secretariat until 25 August 2010. Depending on their subject, articles will be scattered to the related sessions.
