KUEHNE+NAGEL Group's air logistics business unit recorded a year-on-year gross profit growth of 68 per cent to CHF1,613 million (US$$1,673 million).
Net turnover surged 59 pe rcent to CHF6.3 billion and EBIT increased 103 per cent to CHF826 million, reports Mumbai's The STAT Trade Times.
'The closure of Russian airspace and the lockdown in Shanghai resulted in the immediate rescheduling and diversion of many routes. The operational workload was correspondingly high in the first half of 2022,' according to the company's the H1 2022 report.
Air freight volumes handled by the group were 1.1 million tonnes in the first six months of 2022.

In H1 2022, the Kuehne+Nagel Group's net turnover rose by 55 per cent year on year to CHF20.6 billion, EBIT by 112 per cent to CHF2.2 billion, earnings by 113 per cent to CHF1.6 billion ($1.6 billion) .
