THE retrofit design of a 16,000-TEU ship, to be powered by methanol, has been approved in principle by the korean Register, reports Rotterdam's Offshore Energy.
The design was developed in collaboration with HD Hyundai Marine Solution and HD Hyundai E&T. HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co (HD KSOE) also worked on the design with the partners.
