01 December 2020 - 19:00

TALKS are underway between Perishable Movements Limited and Kenya Airways to charter a B787 Dreamliner between Nairobi and Heathrow twice a week.

This follows UK and Kenya signing the sixth bilateral trade deal worth GBP1.4 billion (US$1.8 billion) a year, reports Mumbai's Logistics Update Africa.

In addition to being the hub for Kenya Airways and Astral Aviation and the preferred airport for over 20 foreign freight airlines, JKIA has five airside cargo terminals with a capacity of 1.2 million tonnes which includes a cold-room capacity of 9,000 square metres.
