SOFTWARE company focusing on streamlining operations in global freight and logistics, OneStop, has extended its services to the new kenwick Intermodal Terminal (IMT) by Intermodal Group (IMG) in Western Australia.
This collaboration will integrate OneStop's technology, OneStop Modal and the Vehicle Booking System (VBS), into the new intermodal facility, improving operational efficiency, container movements, and traffic flow management.
This is anticipated to increase the region's capacity by providing an additional 2,000 TEU of empty container storage, reports London's Port Technology International.
Kenwick IMT will function as an inland terminal, with rail services transferring containers to Fremantle.
Rail operations between Kenwick IMT and North Quay Rail Terminal began recently.
Watco Australia's dedicated rail service, with a capacity of 100 TEU, will improve supply chain efficiency by streamlining container movements throughout the region, reported OneStop.
Chris Harnett, CCO at OneStop, said: 'Our OneStop Modal solution will not only streamline operations but also provide crucial visibility into intermodal container movements, ensuring enhanced efficiency and service reliability.'
Adam Lebihan, VP Intermodal at Intermodal Group (IMG), stated: 'This collaboration will not only boost our capacity but also provide substantial benefits to our customers, enabling smoother, more cost-effective container movements across the region.'
