Kansas City Missouri airport posts 3.3pc air cargo hike

THE Kansas City, Mo., Aviation Department reports air cargo tonnage increased 3.3 per cent in September with a total of 16.9 million pound.

September air freight was up 5.8 per cent year on year to to 16.6 million pounds. But year to date, air freight is down 6.2 per cent with a total of 143.5 million pounds.



Air mail for September was down 62.0 per cent from September 2019 with 228,847 pounds handled. Air mail year to date for 2020 is down 52.1 per cent from 2019 with 2.3 million pounds.



The number of peak-day scheduled aircraft departures for September 2020 was 91. Service was offered to 28 nonstop markets. There was an average of 18,062 arriving and departing scheduled seats in the market each day.



Some 312,390 passengers arrived and departed through September passenger volume fell 67.2 per cent year on year to 312,390 seats sold. Year to date passenger boardings are 1,719,371, down 61.2 per cent..
