KANSAS City Missouri airport's cargo was down 4.5 per cent in October year on year with a total of 17.8 million pounds handled, according to figures released by the city's Aviation Department.
Year to date, 163.6 million pounds have been handled, down 7.3 per cent. Air freight handled at Kansas City International Airport during October amounted to 17.6 million pounds, down 3.2 per cent year on year.
Year to date, air freight is down 5.9 per cent with a total of 161.1 million pounds handled. Air mail for October was down 51.8 per cent from October 2019 with 244,425 pounds handled. Air mail year to date for 2020 is down 52.1 per cent from 2019 with 2.5 million pounds handled.
The number of peak-day scheduled aircraft departures for October 2020 was 83. Service was offered to 28 nonstop markets. There was an average of 18,237 arriving and departing scheduled seats in the market each day. The all-cargo carriers reported seven daily arrivals for October.
