THE jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPTA) announced a record-breaking container throughput of 603,219 TEU in July, the highest ever recorded at the port, reports London's Port Technology.
This surpasses the previous record of 594,793 TEU set in March 2024.
This achievement marks a significant month-on-month (MoM) growth of 16.39 per cent, highlighting JNPA's crucial role in India's maritime trade.
In July 2024, JNPA also managed 7.54 million tonnes of total cargo, representing a 9.09 per cent increase compared to July 2023.
