TAIWAN's EVA Airways Corporation has approved the conversion of three Boeing 777-300ER into freighters, according to a Taiwan Stock Exchange, reports London's Air Cargo News.
israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will be undertaking the conversion, according to the stock exchange. The unit price for each conversion is up to US$40 million and the total transaction price is up to $120 million.
Bolstered by demand for cargo, EVA Air reported TWD$6.6 billion (US$231 million) in net profit over the past year, with revenues up 15 per cent from 2020.
Founded in 1989, EVA Air is a 100 per cent privately owned Taiwanese airline with Evergreen Marine Corporation and Evergreen International Corporation as major shareholders.
