THE Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) is now in 16th biggest container carrier in the world, reports Tehran's Mehr News Agency.
The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) was ranked first in the world above Maersk Shipping Company.
The MSC stood in first place, owning 795 vessels with a capacity of 5,554,321 TEU, followed by Maersk Shipping Company possessing 679 vessels with a capacity of 4,131,334 TEU.
French shipping giant CMA CGM owns 621 vessels with a capacity of 3,555,812 TEU stood in the third place.
