INDIA's container volumes through the country's ports continued to rise in July, albeit slightly, reports New Delhi's Financial Express.
The recovery in container traffic was driven by exports according to Japanese financial giant Nomura. Major port July container volumes increased 17.4 per cent month to month to 750,000 TEU.
This was led by a sharp rise in container volumes that saw a 20 per cent increase month to month, down 13 per cent year on year.
Meanwhile, the New Delhi railway station will be a world-class transport hub soon with passengers possibly not getting pillows or towels even after full services resume.
