Ukraine ports beat all odds! Box volumes soar 27.8pc to 402,350 TEU
UKRAINIAN ports handled a total of 402,350 TEU between January and August, representing year-on-year growth of 27.8 per cent.
Import volumes rose the most, up 33.2 per cent to 199,610 TEU, while export volumes grew 28.4 per cent to 180,680 TEU. But transshipment volumes fell 14.3 per cent to 20,630 TEU, reported PortToday.
The largest Ukrainian container port of Odessa handled 316,910 TEU, up 31.7 per cent year on year. Yuzhny handled 54,950 TEU, up 59.1 per cent, but throughput at Illichivsk fell 20.4 per cent to 30,380 TEU.
