HUTCHISON Ports Thailand (HPT), the leading port and terminal operator at Laem Chabang Port, announced that it has successfully processed 35 million TEU of containers, and NOT through its Terminal D as we earlier reported.
HPT, which started operations in 2006, attributed the milestone accomplishment to the hard work of the employees, the company said in a statement.
Stephen Ashworth, managing director of Thailand and Southeast Asia, Hutchison Ports, celebrated the occasion with executives and employees of HPT, reports Thailand's Logistics Manager.
'HPT has developed new operating capabilities at Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi by implementing cutting-edge technology as well as the development of trained and skilled personnel to implement the smart port prototype, which will benefit the Hutchison Group worldwide and Thailand in the future,' the company statement added.
