THE sixth edition of Hong Kong Maritime Week (HKMW), which includes its signature event, the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference, is to be the maritime industry's focus of attention from November 20-26.
The event is organised by the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board (HKMPB) with the continued support from the Hong Kong Shipowners Association and the Hong Kong Maritime Museum as co-organisers, and the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC) and Invest Hong Kong as partners.
World-leading maritime organisations have rendered their support to the region's premier maritime event. They include the Asian Shipowners' Association (ASA), Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), China Maritime Law Association (CMLA), China Shipowners' Association (CSA), Comite Maritime International (CMI), Hong Kong Maritime Law Association (HKMLA), International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), Maritime London and The London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LM).
Over thirty industry-led and public events will be organised by over 50 local and international organisations in the HKMW 2022.
HKMW will kick off with a fun-filled Orienteering Race (Nov 20-21), followed by a business-focused opening ceremony cum back-to-back 'World Ocean Summit Asia-Pacific Insight Hour' seminar on the first business day of the Week (Nov 21).
HKMW's signature event, the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (Nov22-23), is one of the major events in the programme to mark the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR,
Jointly organised by the HKSAR Government and the HKTDC, and in association with HKMPB and the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, will examine the importance of building connectivity, fostering collaboration and driving innovation in creating a sustainable future for the industry and global trade development in the two-day bumper programme, according to a statement.
