HONG KONG Customs have arrested three men who trafficked 'ice' drug and ketamine worth HK$8 million (US$1.02 million) through the air cargo channel in Tsing Yi and at the airport.
Officers inspected an air consignment that had arrived in Hong Kong from the Netherlands via Italy, reported the Hong Kong Standard.
They found about 3.7kg of suspected ketamine concealed inside the false compartments of three carton boxes, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old man in Kwai Chung.
Officers also inspected three express air consignments that had arrived in Hong Kong from South Africa and Nigeria respectively on September 13, 19 and 21.
Around 8.8kg of suspected 'ice' drug was found concealed in the false compartments of a file folder and two handbags. Some of the drug was found concealed inside 34 bottles of lotion on the other hand.
