FRENCH global logistics provider geodis has started operations in a new 700-square metre temperature-controlled facility with an integrated cooling area in Rodgau, 20 miles south east of Frankfurt.
With this opening, the company is proceeding with its strategy of expanding and strengthening its global pharmaceutical network.
With a temperature-controlled warehouse between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius and an additional cooling area with a temperature range between two and eight degrees Celsius, the new pharma cross dock is expected to offer optimal conditions for the handling and interim storage of pharmaceutical products.
'With this investment, we are creating an important basis for our further positioning in the German market, which is considered Europe's most important exporter of pharmaceuticals,' said Geodis Germany manager Antje Lochmann.
