The Danish Transport Authority has pre-qualified five bidders for the Böjden - Fynshav ferry service, with the new contract to start April 2013. The five bidders will be: Danske Faerger (current operator), Fjord1, Sea Consult, Mols-Linien and Römö Sylt Linie. The current vessel on the route, THOR SYDFYEN, was built in 1978 and has a capacity of 300 passengers and 50 cars. The current contract provides an annual subsidy of approximately EUR 1 million.
