TAIWAN shipping giant Evergreen is launching two new services between East Mediterranean and the Black Sea, one of them in cooperation with Arkas/Emes, reports SeaNews, St Petersburg.
The new services dubbed Turkey-Georgia-Russia (TGR) and Greece-Turkey-Bulgaria (GTB) will replace two existing operations branded BSM (Black Sea & Marmara feeder) and GTG (Greece-Turkey-Georgia), reports Alphaliner.
GTB will be operated in cooperation with Arkas/Emes, which advertises it as Aegean-Bulgaria Express (ABX). TGR will be operated with two 1,100-TEU vessels, rotating through Piraeus, Istanbul (Ambarli), Izmit (Gebze, Poti, Novorossiysk, Gemlik and back to Piraeus.
GTB/ABX will deploy two 1,700-TEU ships, one operated by Evergreen and one by Arkas/Emes. The service starts on September 25 with the Roza A departing Piraeus.
The service rotation of GTB/ABX is Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Istanbul (Haydarpasa), Istanbul (Ambarli), Varna, Istanbul (Ambarli) and back to Piraeus.
The ABX rotation as marketed by Arkas is as follows: Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Piraeus, Istanbul (Haydarpasa), Istanbul (Ambarli), Varna, Istanbul and back to Piraeus.
