SINGAPORE's eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has partnered with Netherlands-based Mental Health Support Solutions (MHSS) to provide psychological counselling to seafarers, reports London's Tanker Operator.
Eastern Pacific crew will have access to an MHSS hotline, offering round-the-clock psychological counselling ashore and afloat from a qualified clinical psychologist.
Said MHSS chief executive Christian Ayerst: 'EPS is leading the way in stimulating conversations to normalise mental health, which is fantastic. We hope other companies will follow.'
