DB Schenker has recently bolstered its operations in Scotland by inaugurating a new facility in Glasgow, further enhancing its capabilities and capacity in the region, reports London's Air Cargo News.
Located in Hillington Park, the freight forwarder's new multimodal site provides over 17,000 square feet of warehousing space, along with more than 750 pallet positions for efficient storage and pick/pack services, catering to the needs of local customers.
Equipped with comprehensive camera coverage, the site includes a dedicated external yard for streamlined container loading and unloading operations.
Additionally, it adheres to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, ensuring high-quality processes and environmentally responsible practices. Within the next month, the facility is set to attain ETSF (External Temporary Storage Facility) Type A status, further bolstering its credentials and capabilities.
