DACHAN Bay Terminals welcomed a new Intra-Asia service SXT operated by Gold Star Line Ltd (GSL) on New Year's Day. The new service calls dachan Bay Terminals every Sunday, enhancing the Asia network of the terminals.
'The SXT service provides more competitive transit times for imports and exports of goods from and to Thailand and Cambodia, especially for exports. The fast and efficient service can effectively reduce logistics costs. In addition, SXT has a focus on the Bangkok shipping market and will help promote the two-way trade between China and Thailand,' a company statement said.
Two vessels, initially each of a capacity of 1,100 TEU, and which will be upgraded to 1,700 TEU, are deployed in the SXT service. The transit times from DaChan Bay to Sihanoukville of Cambodia; Bangkok and Laem Chabang of Thailand are 4 days, 5 days, and 7 days, respectively.
