A large box ship, One Maneuver, experienced a power failure shortly after departing from Southampton container Terminal, reports Southern Daily Echo.
The 302-metre vessel, en route to Rotterdam, dropped anchor near Calshot at 3:45 PM after departing at 3:20pm.
Tugboats Ayton Cross, Phenix, Lomax, and the harbour master quickly arrived to assist.
Despite its initial scheduled arrival in Rotterdam, a new arrival time must be discovered.
The incident caused minor delays for Isle of Wight ferry services, which resumed normal operations. One Maneuver can transport up to 79,000 tonnes of cargo.
