China's Port of Tangshan ranks second in 2020 global cargo throughput

The annual container throughput of Jingtang went over 2.3 million TEU, while Caofiedian was over 800,000 TEU.
Tangshan is north of the Bohai Sea and links 39 inland ports in nine provinces of China with more than 190 ports in over 70 nations and regions.
It has 41 shipping routes for container trade that cover the main coastal ports of China, the Republic of Korea, and Japan.
The Port of Tangshan went from 493 million tonnes to 702 million tonnes over the last five years, with container throughput rising from 1.52 million TEU to 3.12 million TEU, causing an annual growth of seven per cent and 17.5 per cent, respectively.
