CHINA'S Bondex is jumping ahead to acquire Canadian Aircargo Forwarder HapTrans, reports Yicai Media Group, Shanghai.
Shares in Bondex Supply Chain Management surged 8.7 per cent after the news. Its share price was trading up 3.12 per cent at US$3.
Bondex's Hong Kong subsidiary will pay $21.3 million for a 75 per cent stake in HapTrans.
The equity being purchased is held by three entities: Zheng Zhongbo, one of her companies, and the Zheng Family Trust.
The acquisition will not affect HapTrans' main business, long-term operations, or assets.
HapTrans runs a fresh produce air freight forwarding business and delivers live seafood to the Chinese market using personalised solutions for customers.
Bondex offers ocean shipping, road trucking, railway delivery, air forwarding, customs clearance, and warehousing services.
