LOW-COST airline based in Pasay, Philippines, cebu Pacific, is set to bring more travellers from Singapore to the Philippines as it adds direct flights from the Lion City to Clark International Airport (CRK).
Clark is a perfect gateway for inbound travellers due to its proximity to Manila and other tourism destinations in northern Philippines like Baguio, Zambales, La Union, and Pangasinan, reports Singapore's Asia Aviation.
Clark also serves as a jump off point across the Philippines, with Cebu Pacific set to operate direct flights from Clark to eight other destinations in the country, including Boracay, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Puerto Princesa.
To support the expansion, Cebu Pacific is basing three additional aircraft in Clark. These are on top of the 10 new Airbus NEO aircraft that will be delivered in 2023 to expand the airline's entire fleet.
'This new route will pave the way for new business and investment opportunities, especially for New Clark City, and will further boost Philippine tourism,' said Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo Macaraig.
Aside from Clark, the airline currently flies thrice daily between Singapore and Manila, providing passengers easy access to the Lion City.
Cebu Pacific now flies to 35 domestic and 25 international destinations, spanning across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
