The inspections of the 'Sam Lion' revealed that seven ballast tanks were damaged, as well as two diesel tanks and the cofferdam. On Aug 3 the ship sailed from Ceuta anddocked at the La Cabezuela dock in Puerto Real, where the cargo will be transferred from the 'Sam Lion' to the Liberian flagged bulkcarrier 'Sam Hawk' (IMO: 9637416), will start. The ship which sailed from La Coruna on Aug 3 and arrived in Cádiz on Aug 6 will receive the 40,000 tons of clinker cement that should have already arrived in Senegal, the port of destination. The discharge and loading of the clinker takes place in four or five days, and then the 'Sam Lion' will shift from Cabezuela to Navantia for repairs.
