The ship drifted onto breakwater, having mechanical issues and being therefore, incapable of moving further to sea in rough weather. Of 9 crew (Syrians and Indians), 8 were rescued, 1 went missing.

Feb 19 UPDATE: The ship drifted onto breakwater, having mechanical issues and being therefore, incapable of moving further to sea in rough weather. Of 9 crew (Syrians and Indians), 8 were rescued, 1 went missing.Feb 18: General cargo ship LIVANA is reportedly sinking at Marina Smir, Morocco, Gibraltar Strait, since morning Feb 18. Judging from track and port’s view, the ship is stuck on breakwater, probably to avoid sinking. There are 9 crew on board, not clear if they’re safe or rescue under way. Amazing thing is, this coaster was en route from Uruguay to Lebanon, and managed to cross the Atlantic from South to North.
