THE Port of Baltimore cargo volume rebound from lows the Covid crisis with car volumes enjoying triple-digit gain in September while containers showed a three per cent increase.
'The Port of Baltimore continues to be a strong partner in Maryland's economic recovery,' said Governor Larry Hogan, reported the American Journal of Transportation.
'The latest port numbers show we have rebounded, and in the case of auto numbers, have surpassed previous records. Maryland is open for business, and nowhere is this truer than the Port of Baltimore.'
While cargo volumes overall remain down year on year, September numbers showed a leap compared to June when volumes hit a low point for containers and general cargo.
