WFS enhances its Brussels Airport operations by acquiring Aviapartner's cargo division, ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders.
WFS is set to expand at Brussels Airport by acquiring Aviapartner's cargo handling operations, as reported by London's Air Cargo News.
Aviapartner announced the proposed sale of its cargo division to the SATS-owned handler, stating that the carve-out would not affect its passenger services. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, and completion remains subject to customary approvals.
Once finalized, WFS will assume Aviapartner Cargo's activities, which include cargo handling, full-freighter ramp handling, and mail operations. Brussels Airport's cargo community, BRUcargo, indicated that all parties will collaborate to ensure a smooth transition.
Aviapartner Cargo has been operating in Brussels since 1980. The company emphasized that it would continue to focus on passenger airline ground services while working closely with WFS and stakeholders during this process.
WFS already has a presence at the Belgian hub, offering cargo handling, trucking, pharmaceutical, and cold chain services. Additionally, it provides e-commerce and freight forwarder handling from Brussels.
