Trump stated that the blockade would continue until an agreement is reached. In his latest statement regarding the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that Iran had rejected the proposal to lift the blockade and to address nuclear negotiations in the future. Trump noted that the blockade would continue until an agreement is reached that addresses U.S. concerns regarding Iran's nuclear program. He also emphasized that Iran is in a difficult situation due to the existing blockade, stating, 'The blockade is somewhat more effective than bombing. They are currently suffocating, and the situation will get worse for them. They cannot have nuclear weapons.' The U.S. President indicated that while Iran wants to reach an agreement, he does not wish to lift the blockade, saying, 'They don't want me to maintain the blockade. I also do not want to lift the blockade because I do not want them to have nuclear weapons.'
