Turkish Airlines has launched flights from London Stansted, expanding its UK network to six destinations, reports the American Journal of Transportation.
The flag carrier will operate 15 weekly frequencies from Stansted, joining services at Heathrow and Gatwick. Combined with Dublin, Turkish Airlines will reach 168 weekly flights across the UK and Ireland during the summer schedule.
At the inauguration ceremony, Turkish Airlines Vice President Sales for Middle and Northern Europe, Fuat Fırat, stated that the UK remains a key strategic market. He emphasized that the new route strengthens connectivity and supports regional demand.
London Stansted Managing Director Gareth Powell welcomed the service, calling it a major milestone. He noted that the route connects Stansted to Turkish Airlines' global network of more than 350 destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia.
With the addition of Stansted, Turkish Airlines now serves 357 destinations in 133 countries, reinforcing its position as the airline flying to more countries than any other.
