The Big Boss tour boat sank in Aquarium Bay, Marmaris, with 148 onboard. Coast Guard teams swiftly evacuated all passengers without injuries.
The sightseeing boat named 'Big Boss,' which was on a tour in the Marmaris Gulf, began taking on water and sank for reasons yet to be determined in Aquarium Bay, off Cennet Island.
Upon receiving the notification, a large number of coast guard teams were dispatched to the area.
In a written statement from the Muğla Governorship, it was noted that following the report of the tour boat taking on water, which had a total of 148 people on board, including 120 adults, 20 children, and 8 crew members, teams quickly mobilized to the region.
The statement included the following remarks:
'Under the coordination of the teams dispatched to the area after the notification, our citizens on the boat were safely evacuated with the support of nearby vessels. Inspections revealed that there were no casualties, injuries, or health issues. The evacuated citizens were safely brought to shore.'
It was reported that investigations and necessary procedures regarding the incident are being carried out by the Marmaris District Governorship and the Coast Guard Command.
