New fees for passports, driver's licenses, and other documents will take effect on January 1, 2026, as per the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance's General Directorate of Accounting has published a communiqué in the Official Gazette regarding valuable papers.
PASSPORT AND DRIVER'S LICENSE FEES ANNOUNCED
According to the communiqué, the fees for various official documents classified as "valuable papers," including passports, driver's licenses, Turkish Republic identity cards, notary documents, and vehicle registration certificates, have been updated.
Starting in 2026, the passport fee will be set at 1,351 TL, while the driver's license fee will be 1,690 TL. For Turkish Republic identity cards issued due to birth or changes, the fee will be 220 TL, and for cards issued due to loss, it will be 440 TL.
The fee for motor vehicle registration documents has been established at 1,511 TL, and for construction machinery registration documents, it will be 1,261 TL.
NEW TARIFFS FOR NOTARY AND BANK TRANSACTIONS
The fee for foreign work permit certificates and work permit exemption certificates has increased to 964 TL. Additionally, the fee for notary papers and declarations used in notary transactions is set at 149 TL, while documents such as protests and power of attorney will incur a fee of 298 TL. The fee for each leaf of bank checks has been established at 95 TL.
This new fee structure will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
