TAP Air Portugal expands GRU Connect service with a new Salvador route, adding seven weekly flights to enhance cargo transport between Europe and Brazil.
TAP Air Portugal has expanded its GRU Connect cargo service to Sao Paulo's Guarulhos Airport by introducing a fourth route via Salvador, as reported by London's Air Cargo Week.
This new service adds seven weekly flights, bringing the total to 37 weekly cargo flights under the GRU Connect umbrella. TAP Air Portugal stated that this expansion strengthens trade links between Europe and Brazil by providing more flexible and reliable air-to-air transport options.
The Salvador route complements existing services, including GRU Direct from Lisbon, as well as routes via Fortaleza and Brasilia. TAP emphasized that the expanded network offers a competitive product that meets the growing trade demand between the two regions.
With the increased capacity, TAP ensures that cargo reaches Guarulhos efficiently and seamlessly, reinforcing Sao Paulo's status as one of South America's busiest cargo hubs.
