A cargo ship that lost 83 shipping containers carrying everything from nappies to furniture has docked in Sydney, as hundreds of workers continue to clean up debris littering the NSW coastline. Aerial footage of the YM Efficiency, which docked in Port Botany about 9.30am on Wednesday, showed containers hanging over the side of the ship and tilted at angles, while others appear badly crushed. The contents of one container dangled precariously over the side of the ship, held in place by ripped packaging. The 42,000-tonne ship lost 83 containers into the ocean after hitting five-metre swells 30 kilometres off the coast of Port Stephens on Friday, while another 30 containers were badly damaged. Already 30 skip bins' worth of debris - including furniture, car parts and nappies - have been cleared off beaches near Port Stephens, executive director of Roads and Maritime Services Angus Mitchell said. 'In these 83 containers, there is just about everything that gets imported into this country. We've had chips, lollies, whitegoods, kitchen cabinets, even whole kitchen suites in these containers,' Mr Mitchell said. Photos at https://www.smh.com.au/na...
