Shenzhen Port in Guangdong Province handled eight million TEU of foreign trade containers from January to March, marking a 7.81 per cent increase year on year, reports Hong Kong's Bastille Post Global.
Shenzhen Customs stated that the port is connected to more than 300 ports in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. The throughput ranks first in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The figures highlight Shenzhen's growing role as a major gateway for China's foreign trade, with container volumes continuing to rise despite global shipping challenges.
