The Seafarers' Daily Allowance Board has set the daily allowance at 430 TL, effective March 13, 2026, as published in the Official Gazette.
The Ship Crew Subsistence Allowance Determination Board, convened under the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, has determined the daily subsistence allowance for personnel serving on ships to be a net of 430 Turkish Lira. The decision was published in the Official Gazette on March 13, 2026, and has come into effect.
According to the decision made by the Ship Crew Subsistence Allowance Determination Board, the daily cash subsistence allowance to be provided to seafarers working in all coastal areas and lakes will be a net of 430 Turkish Lira. It was noted that the decision was made unanimously by the board members.
The Ship Crew Subsistence Allowance Determination Board convened on February 27, 2026, at 14:00 at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
Representatives from public institutions, as well as organizations representing both workers and employers, and representatives from the maritime sector attended the meeting. In addition to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Industry and Technology were also present.
In the meeting, representatives from the Seafarers' Union attended on behalf of the Turkish Confederation of Trade Unions (TÜRK-İŞ) to represent the workers, while representatives from the Turkish Confederation of Employer Unions (TİSK) and relevant employer unions were present to represent the employers.
Additionally, sector representatives from the maritime chambers of Istanbul, Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, and Black Sea regions also participated in the meeting to provide evaluations.
