The "Seabourn Quest" on Aug 18, 2011, rescued two people in a dramatic operation south of Mykonos.
The ship was requested to assist in the search for a small white boat with two missing persons south of the island.
The boat had suffered engine failure and drifted in the sea while wind was 9 bf.
The two began to burn his own clothes to attract attention. Besides the "Seqbourn Quest", three other ships and a rescue helicopter were involved in the search.
After 30 minutes the ship's crew saw a small light, which lasted about 30 seconds.
At 10 p.m. the crew also observed smoke in a distance of about four nautical miles.
After the boat was captured with search lights, the cruise ship set out an own rescue boat, and minutes later the two people from the boat were safe on board.
After being examined by a doctor and nurse on the ship, the two were brought to Rhodes where the ship arrived on Aug 19 morning.
