Russia's Foreign Ministry affirms strong economic ties with China, highlighting opportunities for cooperation at the 9th China-Eurasia Expo.
Russia's Foreign Ministry stated that economic, trade, and investment ties with China remain robust despite external challenges, as reported by China Daily. Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that two-way exchanges continue to gain momentum.
Ms. Zakharova made these remarks on Thursday when asked about the 9th China-Eurasia Expo, which opened in Urumqi, Xinjiang. She emphasized that the event would provide businesses from both countries with enhanced opportunities to strengthen ties and expand cooperation.
She added that Russia supports Chinese initiatives promoting multilateral economic and trade cooperation and encourages Russian companies to participate. Ms. Zakharova also invited Chinese partners to attend major exhibitions and forums scheduled in Russia later this year.
The spokeswoman stressed that intensive exchanges between businesses are vital for strengthening practical cooperation. She stated that Russia-China relations have demonstrated resilience and adaptability in the face of global headwinds and external pressures.
