MALAYSIA- BASED Raya Airways has added another Boeing 767 freighter to its fleet - its first aircraft addition since 2023

MALAYSIA- BASED Raya Airways has added another Boeing 767 freighter to its fleet - its first aircraft addition since 2023. The airline took delivery of the 767-200F last week, but it is likely to take a few weeks for checks to be carried out and branding to be added before the aircraft is put into action, reports London's Air Cargo News.

In total, Raya's fleet now consists of five 767Fs - although one is currently parked - and three Airbus A321-200Fs.

The latest addition (9M-RXE) is more than 40 years old and was most recently operated by Amerijet. It was converted to a freighter configuration in 2007.

The additional freighter comes as the airline is in the midst of a re-branding exercise and recently won a new contract with DHL.

Last year, the airline began a new charter route between Penang, Malaysia and Hong Kong operating five times a week for the express firm.

Raya also operates another charter service between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, as well as Kuala Lumpur and Singapore for DHL.
